Tacara Lighting's origins began over 30 years ago in the design and engineering of LED lighting. Our chief engineer was hired as independent consultant at UL Laboratories setting up all testing procedures for LED lighting in the United States. At that time, UL Laboratories did not have an understanding of how LED emitters worked nor did they have the knowledge to step up testing procedures. He was responsible for laying the ground foundation for UL Laboratories LED testing.
Upon leaving UL Laboratories, he started his own company and has been designing LED lighting, complete fixtures and light tubes along with power supply technology to operate them at the most efficient level.
Over the course of 25 years, technology has advanced in both LED chip design both in brightness (lumen performance), ambient light color, and clarity as well as lens cover optics. Based on today's advancements in several key areas all of our advanced products deliver the most energy efficient lighting in the commercial lighting industry. Tacara's designs offer the highest lumen per watt (L.P.W.) performance bulbs (in 4 ft. T-8 LED tube with built in power supply). Our engineering designs combines world-class patented lens from Japan, along with top grade power supply components and LED emitters specifically color matched to the industry's highest tolerance, delivering unmatched energy savings and providing the very best interior lighting in the world.
